Happy Folks
A downloadable game

Have you ever wanted to be the villain?
In Happy Folks, you're not the hero who saves the day. You are a malevolent entity whose only pleasure is to divide towns and families. Infiltrate a town of pure, united beings and whisper the seed of discord.
Watch as a simple insult turns friend into foe, unleashing a self-perpetuating civil war.
Key Features
-
Sow Strategic Chaos: Don't attack directly. Hurl insults (E Key) at key targets to alter their color. A white villager will turn dark; a red one, cyan. Each insult pushes them further from their former allies and closer to conflict.
A well-placed insult can trigger a devastating chain reaction! - Emergent Color Warfare: Villagers have their own "Color DNA." Once corrupted, they will fight on their own! They will hate each other based on how different their colors are, creating dynamic factions and a chaotic battlefield.
-
Shadow Form & Combat Mode:
- Move as a black sphere to sow discord from the shadows.
- Press Q to transform, adopting a random villager color. In this form, you can launch energy projectiles (Left Mouse Button) to eliminate key targets or defend yourself.
- Counter the Saints: Order will not surrender easily. Powerful Saints will try to calm the masses and revert your actions. They are your primary target!
- Measure Your Success: Fill the Chaos Meter with every act of violence. Fill it to win!

About Me
I’m a computer engineering student who has just finished the third year. In my free time, I enjoy programming, and lately I've become interested in game development. I made a game on Roblox in my spare time in case anyone would be interested in giving me feedback:
As for this game jam, I signed up because I didn’t know how to use Unity, and I had set a goal with my brother to make a game together. So, to practice, I joined the jam solo to see how Unity worked. I’m happy with the result as it is my first game jam, although I would’ve liked to add more levels and give the cubes some ears. I hope you enjoy this little adventure!
